Red Earth Systems has over 30 years’ experience designing and manufacturing automated test equipment (ATE) across the aerospace, automotive, defence and oil & gas sectors. Our in-house team covers every discipline needed to deliver your solution, from initial concept through to a fully validated system.
We build ATE for complex components, PCB’s and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), giving you the reliability and performance validation your programme depends on.
Our support doesn’t stop once your equipment leaves our facility. Our engineering and manufacturing teams remain on hand throughout its service life, backed by a genuinely cost-effective approach to test engineering.

Every test programme is different, so our ATE solutions are built to match.
Our Generic LRU ATE Test System incorporates the test resources most commonly required in aerospace, while fully bespoke systems, complete with custom test schedulers and our Test Manager Software Suite, are built entirely around your specification.
We can also design automated multi-axis fixtures for testing units under test (UUTs), alongside robotic and co-bot equipment for production line applications.
Ancillary equipment, including interface boxes, test boxes and breakout boxes, completes the picture, so every element of your test system comes from one team, working to the same exacting standards.

Case study: Antenna Test System
We designed a test system to command and monitor antenna tuning units (UUTs) built for VHF/UHF tuneable antennas on military aircraft. The system generates a wide range of protocols and test stimuli, including non-standard signals for negative testing, while a vision system reads UUT status in real time.
Every card in the rack can be remotely upgraded via Ethernet or USB, keeping the system future-proofed long after deployment.
