WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR

We currently have a vacancy for a Workshop Supervisor to join our team in Cheltenham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established Engineering business to provide supervision and engineering support to the employees and contract staff in the production area. This is a dual role involving supervision and utilising you own skills in production.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

This role will require you to work as part of the production team and be responsible for the electrical and electronic manufacture activities in accordance with production build work packs and build schedules; performing electrical manufacture activities.

Duties:-

  • Carrying-out and supervising works in such a way as to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others.
    Ensuring that appropriate training, information, supervision and instruction is given to members of the team.
  • Ensure that reporting staffs are competent, appropriately trained and qualified to carry-out their duties.
  • Ensure that any personnel-related issues are dealt with in-line with company policy, legislation and best practice.
  • Be available and on-hand to respond to questions and queries in the production area.
  • Performing manufacturing activities in accordance with work packs comprising detailed drawings or specifications, and following instruction.
  • Manufacture of cable looms and harnesses.
  • Construction of electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and machinery/equipment.
  • Performing electrical systems installation.

Performing sub-assembly testing, commissioning and acceptance testing activities.

CAD DESIGN ENGINEER

 (Ref. RES1011)

We require a Mechanical/Electro Mechanical Design Engineer in our design department due to an influx of work.  You will join a small and dedicated team and be able to hit the ground running, working quickly and to the highest standard using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.

Both of these packages are used heavily for design.  The role requires a design engineer to have mechanical and/or electrical drawing experience.  The drawings are of bespoke test equipment and unique to the client.

To be considered for this role you must have knowledge of the following:

  • Autodesk Inventor Professional
  • Detailed, layout and assembly drawings for systems design/assembly
  • 2D or 3D Modelling
