POSITION - Junior Software Engineer

(Ref. RES01-18)

We seek a Software Engineer, with practical skills in C++/C#, to join our engineering teams in Gloucester/Tewkesbury area. You’ll be involved in developing ground based test software for major avionics companies, from design and development to integration. We produce test hardware and software solutions for flight displays, mission computers, power systems and many more.

As well as writing code, you’ll find yourself carrying out a whole range of important tasks, from communicating with clients to assisting with final integration. Working closely with both Electronic and Systems engineers, you'll enable the development of complex test systems that have to perform perfectly every time.

Essential skills

Programming in C++ or C#
The ability and desire to learn new languages and technologies quickly

Desirable skills

Knowledge of Scripting languages, such as Python
Good grasp of networking fundamentals and protocols
Understanding of low level computing concepts
An understanding of Agile and Waterfall
Experience with .NET
Knowledge of NI Teststand, NI LabWindows

37 Hours per week
22 Days annual leave plus bank holidays

POSITION - CAD Design Engineer

(Ref. RES1011)

We require a Mechanical/Electro Mechanical Design Engineer in our design department due to an influx of work. You will join a small and dedicated team and be able to hit the ground running, working quickly and to the highest standard using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.

Both of these packages are used heavily for design. The role requires a design engineer to have mechanical and/or electrical drawing experience. The drawings are of bespoke test equipment and unique to the client.

To be considered for this role you must have knowledge of the following:

Autodesk Inventor Professional
Detailed, layout and assembly drawings for systems design/assembly
2D or 3D Modelling
